SETEC currently employs over 80 staff. SETEC’s Power Resource and Design Centre employs 30 leading Electronic Engineers who are highly trained and experienced in utilising the latest in design tools to create products to suits our customers specific needs. These developers have graduated as Computer Scientists, Electronic Engineers or Scientists with degrees in Physics. Some of these people have multiple degrees, Computer science and Electronic Engineering being popular.

Research Design Engineer
Test Engineer
Reliability Technician
Electronics Technician

Design Engineer
SETEC is looking to for a Design Engineer to join its R&D engineering team.

Mandatory requirements:

  • The ability to design power and control circuitry associated with high frequency power conversion
  • A good knowledge of power conversion techniques along with EMC and Safety standards
  • A degree in electronic engineering.

An attractive salary commensurate to experience and qualifications will be offered.

Test Engineer
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Test Engineer. Responsibilities include the design, installation and support of inspection and test equipment used in the manufacture of power supplies.

Mandatory requirements:

  • A degree in electronic engineering
  • An understanding of power and control circuitry associated with high frequency power conversion
  • A good knowledge of analogue electronics and instrumentation.

The successful candidate will also possess many of the following attributes:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in test equipment programming
  • Good self motivation
  • Computer literacy.

Reliability Technician
An exciting and challenging career opportunity has become available for a Reliability Technician to join our R&D team working with the engineering group. Key responsibilities testing for HALT and ALT programs, Shock & Vibration testing and coordination of data for MTBF calculations.

The successful candidate will possess many of the following attributes:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong electronic technical ability
  • Experience with HALT, ALT and Vibration testing
  • Experience with MTBF process
  • Self motivated
  • Computer literacy

Tertiary qualifications such as a diploma in electronic engineering are highly regarded. Experience in power electronics and or RF will be favourably regarded but is not essential.

Electronics Technician
An exciting and challenging career opportunity has become available for an experienced Electronics Technician to join our R&D team in a technical support role working under the guidance of our team of senior engineers.

The successful candidate will possess many of the following attributes:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong general electronic technical ability
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • The ability to perform as a team player
  • Good self motivation
  • A pro-active work philosophy
  • Computer literacy.

Tertiary qualifications such as a diploma in electronics are highly regarded. Experience in power supply or RF will be favourably regarded but is not essential.
