R&DStart Grant-Significant Progress

SETEC won an R&D Start Grant back in 2005. In January 2006 the project kicked off, since this time our research engineers, supported by our development engineers, technicians and support staff have been tireless working todevelop and commercialise the fixedfrequency resonant power conversion.

SETEC is very proud and happy to announce that we have achieved the technical outcome that proves the concept works and delivers the desired benefits. The technology (fixed frequency resonant conversion) delivers very high efficiency and extremely low electromagnetic emission (EMC), resulting in a reduction in size and improved manufacturability over their variable frequency predecessor.

"This achievement is evidence of SETEC's commitment to research into new power conversion technology and a commitment to researching technology that will reduce power consumption in today's environmentally sensitive world," said Louise Lloyd, Managing Director. "We will incorporating this development into many of our products, as the smaller size enables us to provide vital space savings. Along with approaching a number of potential customers world-wide."
