Staff, friends, family and customers gathered at Setec headquarters in Melbourne for the company’s 45 year celebration event last Thursday afternoon. Guest sipped on Veuve, enjoyed canapés and were treated to a tour of the premises.
Company founders Peter and Jill Lloyd started the business in their garage in 1968. Setec has since grown to be a global industry player in 2014 and has a strong reputation for always been at the forefront of power supply and battery management technology.
Within 20 years of the company’s birth, Setec was shipping over $1 million worth of power supplies to customers around the globe. By 1985 Setec was making a turnover of $2.2 million per year and by 1993 Setec won contracts with major international companies including Fujitsu and AWA.
In 2014 Setec is still a proudly Australian family owned and operated business with over 70 valued employees. Today, Setec manufactures innovative power solutions for a wide range of sectors including gaming, medical and RV industries.
Our growing export market continues to extend around the world to countries such as the US and Europe and we look forward to a prosperous future ahead – here’s to the next 45 years!
